If rock and roll is about electric guitars, big amps, and hot groupies, then what are The Benoits doing playing acoustic guitars sans habites through a PA... with even hotter groupies than Bang Tango in their prime?  Well, they would ask you the same question.  The Benoits are not folk rock, they're faux rock, Led Zeppelin for the Great Recession, Robert Johnson if he sold his soul on Craigslist.  None of the swagger of your favorite classic rock has been sacrificed, just some of the size.  But as we all know, it doesn't matter how big the pan is if you can't shut the oven door.  The Benoits play rock and roll like your great-grandma would have, had it been invented.  But is wasn't... until now.
